Concert Bells of Fort Worth to perform in Denton!!

Concert Bells of Fort Worth under the baton of Stephanie Rhoades, Conductor & Artistic Director, is an auditioned community handbell ensemble of advanced ringers from North Texas dedicated to musical excellence through artistic handbell performance. Founded in 1998, the group performs a diverse repertoire, from classical transcriptions to innovative original works, with precision and musical sensitivity.

Our program is a mixture of religious and secular music ranging from “Be Still, My Soul” and “Jazz Waltz on Praise to the Lord” to the “Vivaldi/Bach Allegro from the Concerto in A minor”, “La Vie en Rose”, and the “Light Cavalry Overture”. It also includes the World Premiere of “Rhosymedre” from the Organ Prelude on a Welsh Hymn Tune by Ralph Vaughan Williams arranged for Handbells, Flute, and Cello by Carol Lynn Mizell. Featured soloists will be Christie Wood, Flute, and George D’Ascenzo, Cello, both members of FUMC, Denton.
