JoyoUS: To Know and Be Known in Christ
Being loved, means being known. In the third letter to Philippi, Paul tells the church that he counts everything as loss because he knows Christ. “En Christo,” a phrase he used a total of 164 times, more than any other, was for Paul a buzz word for “the gracious, participatory experience of salvation” which shows that humanity was never separate from God, unless by its own free will. To know God is to recognize Christ in ourselves and to embody the nature of Christ in the world to our friends and neighbors. We hope you join us this Sunday as we meet and recognize the new spiritual creation of Christ in ourselves, co-creating with the body of Christ, the church, to participate in God’s joyous vision for all of us.
