God Dreams: Hearing the Call to Mission

This week, as we continue our worship series, “God Dreams,” we are exploring how we can hear God’s dreams and God’s call by listening to the voices of our neighbors. We will listen to the story of Paul who, in the midst of a busy journey, heard the voice of the people of Macedonia in a dream saying, “come help us.” Paul followed God’s leading, and what began as a dream changed the world. We’ll also hear the story of Dennis and Janet Fisher, who, while on a trip to Russia, listened to the voices of their neighbors and responded in friendship and love. What began by listening changed their lives and changed our church, and became something beyond anything we could dream or imagine. As we gather in worship and community this Sunday, how might God be calling us through the voices of our neighbors? Together, let’s commit to listen and to respond in generosity and service so that we can see what great things God can do.
