Back to Life: Pentecost

This Sunday is Pentecost, a day we celebrate the beginning of the ancient church of Jesus in whose stream we move today. As vaccination rates increase and we begin to see new beginnings ahead, I cannot think of a better time to celebrate Pentecost. That first day was a day of fresh wind and divine Spirit, that blew through the hearts of Jesus followers and the community around them, and gathering people in sacred belonging. In our day, we are looking for the same thing — fresh wind, Spirit movement, and clear calling for us and our community. We believe that in our time that same heart of God is moving and the wind of the Spirit is blowing. And we believe that calling of Pentecost to be a community following after Jesus together and to be a place of sacred belonging for all people of different backgrounds and culture — that calling is as clear and needed as ever. We are grateful for you and grateful for the God of new beginnings and steadfast love. We hope to see you in church online and see you all soon.
